Ending on 5th July at 3 pm.
(We recommend the participants to arrive on 28th June).

It is our greatest pleasure to invite to this special opportunity and retreat with Venerable Dupsing Rinpoche.

Phowa is a type of Vajrayana Buddhist practice which can be described as "the practice of conscious dying". It is a swift way to attain the Path of Liberation from Samsara. Phowa practice encompasses all holy dharma teachings which are methods to attain liberation from samsaric sufferings. There are different kinds of Phowa practice. The name of this particular Phowa practice is “The Standing Blade of Grass”.

Through the practice of Phowa, at the point of death, with skilful means, we are then able to direct our Consciousness’ spontaneously through the top of our skull to Dewachen; Buddha Amitabha’s Pureland.

As earnest aspirants seeking the Path of Liberation from Samsara, and yet unable to forsake our worldly life, the best is to practice Phowa diligently as it does not require defficult meditation effort.

Marpa Lotsawa states:
"From now, if one study & practises Phowa purifying time & time again. Then, at that time, when death is approaching one will know no despair. When one has been accustomed to this Path of Phowa, then at the time of death, one will be full of cheerful confidence. "

It is important to receive these teachings and relevant initiations/empowerments from a qualified teacher. As Phowa is a tantric teaching, the text & teachings cannot be shared with others, who have not attended this retreat.

All retreatants shall observe a vegetarian dietary regime during the retreat.
